Shinners Bridge Garden Machinery in Totnes, Devon became a fan of Farmtrac just last year after hearing about the brand through another dealer. Having already built a solid relationship with Reesink Agriculture, this word-of-mouth endorsement was all that was needed for Shinners to take on distribution.

Managing director Andy White explains: “We were looking for a compact tractor to add to our product portfolio. We have a lot of golf course and holiday park customers and a competitive compact tractor really appeals to them. A conversation with another dealer alerted us to Farmtrac and a quick call to distributor Reesink Agriculture is all it took to organise for a demo tractor to be brought down for us to look at.”

I’m impressed with the product, it’s a lot of machine for the money and covers a lot of budgets compared to competitors. We’ve had experience dealing with Reesink and they’ve always been a decent company to work with, very professional.

Andy White, managing director, Shinners Bridge Garden Machinery

Andy chose two models to begin with – the FT26 and FT30 – to appeal to his customer base. He says: “These are what I’d call great entry-level tractors. They’re well laid out and they’ve been decent sellers, we’ve moved quite a few of them now.”

Such success so early on is no surprise to Andy: “We knew they’d do well because of the incredible build quality for the price. It’s proved to be an easy sell as soon as people see the product.”

Andy has tried different models and has nothing but praise for the additions to his inventory and has already ordered a FT6050, which is a larger horse powered model to extend his range.

Farmtrac has made a promising entry into the UK’s compact tractor sector during the pandemic, generating specific interest with its clean energy stance and electric tractor offering, the FT25. Its cutting-edge and innovative nine-strong smart-looking 22-113hp models incorporate world class components including transmissions designed and produced by Carraro and hydraulic systems from MITA, to deliver a superior performance whether cultivating soil, mowing or towing trailers.

TWO-YEAR INTEREST-FREE FINANCE FOR FARMTRAC

TWO-YEAR INTEREST-FREE FINANCE FOR FARMTRAC

A spring deal for those who need a great value tractor now.

Reesink Agriculture is offering zero percent finance for two years on eight tractors from the Farmtrac range from 1 April to 31 May. Pictured here is the versatile FT26 with loader.

Each year Reesink Agriculture, UK distributor of Farmtrac tractors, offers customers the chance to buy the reliable and economic multi-tasking tractors from Farmtrac with competitive finance. This year’s spring deal sees customers able to take advantage of zero percent finance for two years on eight tractors from 1 April to 31 May.

Reesink understands that for most annual forecasts, plans and budgets have been hugely affected by the effect of COVID-19 and it’s essential that as a distributor we support our customers in delivering against their objectives. Having dependable tractors in the shed is vital, now more than ever, considering the unprecedented circumstances the agricultural community finds itself in, hence this finance deal from Reesink now.

It’s a deal that allows smallholdings, vineyards, orchard farms, smaller farms or hobby farms, and those in industries like equine or plantation management, to identify the specialist tractor they need to help their business and then get it quickly, without the wait.

These finance options are designed to help customers buy the tractors they need without compromising cashflow, allowing them to replenish or add to their fleet in a way that suits their financial situation.

Steven Haynes, tractor sales manager, Reesink

Reesink tractor sales manager Steven Haynes says: “We’ve kept things simple for 2021. It’s one scheme offering zero percent finance on all diesel tractors. We find this option suits the majority of customers – with repayments over a two year period it allows the customer to budget effectively and get the tractor they need whilst interest rates are so low.”

The deal comes from Reesink Agriculture and its finance partner DLL Group, who have financed over 50,000 tractors in the UK. It’s based on a 1+23 payment profile, which is monthly payments over a two year period and financing up to 60 percent of the tractors’ RRP value.

The deal applies to eight of the cost-effective, intuitive, comprehensive and innovative nine-strong smart-looking tractor range, excluding just the FT25G electric. There’s plenty of choice with tractors ranging from 22-113hp, 750-3100kg hydraulic lift capacity and 9×3 manual to 24×24 power shuttle transmissions.

This finance deal is available at participating dealers from 1 April until 31 May 2021. Finance is subject to acceptance and only available in the UK. To find out more contact Reesink on 01480 226800 or email info@reesinkturfcare.co.uk.

FLYING START FOR FENTONS WITH FARMTRAC

Success with Farmtrac sees Fentons of Bourne place third order

Glen Bellamy, managing director of Fentons of Bourne, left, with Farmtrac’s Craig Cooper.

Fentons of Bourne in Lincolnshire decided to add the Farmtrac brand to its tractor offering a little over a year ago. Despite a challenging year with COVID-19, the company has had such a successful first year with the brand it has recently placed a third machinery order.

It was at LAMMA 2020 that managing director Glen Bellamy at Lincolnshire based dealer Fentons of Bourne was introduced to Farmtrac. The brand made such an impact that he decided there and then to add the brand to his tractor product line-up.

It was, says Glen, an easy decision to make thanks to the value the brand offered with such a competitive price point coupled with the quality of build. He says: “I’ve been in the business of supplying quality machinery to gardens and estates for 34 years and I could tell straight away this would be a good fit for the business and provide a good option for our customers. The brand filled a gap in our portfolio. We needed a well-made tractor range with an attractive price and Farmtrac delivered on both of those requirements and more.

“Farmtrac provides the perfect option for our customers in the high-end homeowner, equestrian centre, nursery and private school markets. Because of COVID we had a pause on selling until the autumn, but since then the tractors are selling well and we have placed our third order for more! It’s been a great start and I couldn’t be more pleased.”

Although they’re compact, they’re more than up for some of the tougher jobs too. That really appeals to our customers. They’re nimble, light, easy on turf and easy to use.

Glen Bellamy, managing director, Fentons of Bourne

Glen chose three of the compact tractors, the 22hp FT22, 26hp FT26 and 30hp FT30. While all have sold well it is the FT26 which leads the race at the moment. Glen says: “The thing with these three tractors is that although they’re compact, they’re more than up for some of the tougher jobs too. That really appeals to our customers. They’re nimble, light, easy on turf and easy to use.”

Distributor Reesink Agriculture and working with Steven Haynes, Reesink’s tractor sales manager, also played a big part in the decision for Glen taking on the Farmtrac brand, he says: “I’ve known Steven for 20 years and I trust his judgement, so when he told me about Farmtrac I knew it must be a really attractive proposition and my interest was caught immediately. It’s been great doing business with him and the team so far.”

Steven says he’s delighted Farmtrac is selling so well for Glen and Fentons of Bourne so far: “Fentons of Bourne is a well-established business with a good reputation with its customers. There’s a great team there and a solid range of products that puts Farmtrac in good company. We were delighted to welcome them on board and it’s been an absolute pleasure working with them.”

Glen concludes: “The fact that we’ve seen such a solid start with Farmtrac in a tough year is, I think, testament to what we can look forward to with the brand in the future.”

NEW FARMTRAC DEALER FOR SCOTLAND

Gammies Groundcare cites range, warranty and price behind decision.

Gammies Groundcare, based in Forfar Scotland, has become the latest Farmtrac dealer. From left: Les Gammie, Gammies Groundcare depot manager with Farmtrac’s Craig Bradshaw and Steven Haynes.

Gammies Groundcare, based in Forfar Scotland, has become the latest Farmtrac dealer, praising the competitive pricing, comprehensive range and warranty as reasons to get behind the ‘exciting’ brand.

Les Gammie, Gammies Groundcare depot manager, explains: “The first thing that really drew me in was the retail price point, which I felt was very competitive. We’ve had some competition in this area with tractors, so we were looking for something to fill out our offering and compete, and Farmtrac fit the bill perfectly. The range, warranty and price made the decision for me and together made the perfect combination.”

Farmtrac’s truly innovative range includes the industry-first all-electric FT25G tractor. Charged from a domestic socket to 100 percent in eight hours and able to run for up to seven hours, productivity isn’t affected by the decision to go green. And its compact size, zero emissions and low noise levels make it a popular option for small farms, orchards, equestrian centres and more.

“The FT25G all-electric definitely stands out from the range,” says Les. “It’s totally unique, there’s nothing else like it on the market right now. I’m really eager to see how it does with our customers, but overall, it’s really exciting to be able to get stuck in with Farmtrac.

“We’ve only had Farmtrac in stock for a couple of weeks, but we’re already seeing interest in them. We’ve got a few quotes out there now and I can see the brand being a real pleasure to work with.”

Distributor, Reesink Agriculture, also played a part in the decision for Les. Having worked with Reesink before as a Toro service and grounds dealer, Gammies Groundcare knew the benefits of partnering with the renowned distributor.

“Reesink has great customer values, back-up and service support,” says Les. “And that was another element that contributed to the decision to become a Farmtrac dealer.”

Steven Haynes, tractor sales manager for Reesink, says: “We are very pleased to have Gammies on board as a Farmtrac dealer in Scotland. They have a great team in place and a broad customer base which they have been serving for many years, which makes them a good fit for us. We look forward to working with them going forward.”

With over 30 years of knowledge and experience supplying products and services to customers, and a reputation built on quality products and excellent service, Gammies Groundcare is confident that Farmtrac will fit in well with its ethos.

“I’ve no doubt that we will see interest in the brand going forward,” concludes Les. “As things get back to normal a bit more in 2021, we’re confident that Farmtrac will be at the forefront, really helping to kickstart business for the year. If anything, I just wish we’d had the brand earlier!”

AN ELECTRIC FIRST YEAR FOR FARMTRAC

AN ELECTRIC FIRST YEAR FOR FARMTRAC

16th December 2020

Reesink Agriculture celebrates its first year since its UK launch with the Farmtrac tractor brand.

From left: Reesink’s Steve Dacey and Jim Maynard, OneAgency’s Rosie Duckworth, Royal Reesink’s Roon Hylkema, Reesink’s Steven Haynes and David Cole, Farmtrac’s Yogesh Khattar and Reesink’s Rochelle Bedford at LAMMA 2020.

It’s been a year since Reesink Agriculture launched in the UK with the highly successful arrival of the Farmtrac tractor brand, and what a year it’s been!

Drawing crowds, wowing critics and generating praise from industry dignitaries, Farmtrac arrived with a bang at LAMMA 2020. The brand’s flagship model, the FT25G featuring lithium-ion battery, was the industry-first all-electric tractor, revolutionary in its innovation and technology, it got the market talking about the future of the industry.

Upon seeing the FT25G for the first time, Jane Rickson, professor of soil erosion and conservation at Cranfield Soil and AgriFood Institute and president of the IAgrE, said: “This compact and agile tractor represents a significant development in agricultural engineering. We were impressed by the tractor’s huge potential in a range of land-based industries both here and overseas, including horticulture, livestock and amenity use.”

Despite the tricky market conditions 2020 created for most, Farmtrac attracted a number of dealers across the country to commit to representing the brand. Steven Haynes, tractor sales manager at Reesink, says: “Although this has been a less than ideal year in which to launch a new brand, the dealer network has grown very well for Farmtrac in its first year, which is testament to the quality of the product. We have some great dealers on board that have really taken to the products and are seeing good results already.”

Farmtrac also caught the eye of Robert Llewellyn and Adam Henson on BBC’s Countryfile and the world’s number one clean energy and electric vehicle channel FullyCharged, The FT25G was referenced as “amazing” and “incredible” on many occasions in both programmes as it was reviewed and put through its paces. But it wasn’t just the cutting-edge FT25G that proved itself, distributor Reesink Agriculture did too.

In September, Reesink Agriculture was awarded by Farmtrac the ‘Best Debut 2020’ as part of their International Day for distributors around the world. This was given on the back of strong sales and a solid market awareness campaign during 2020, and to reflect on the robust warranties Reesink Agriculture offers its customers, and its reputation for servicing, maintenance and back-up.

With a string of successes to look back on, it’s certainly been a launch year full of more highlights than anything else for Farmtrac, as Steven concludes: “We’re thrilled with the positive response Farmtrac has had in the UK, it’s been a very unusual but also incredibly exciting launch year and I have no doubt 2021 will have just as much to commend itself for the brand.”

Powerful, competitively priced tractors for agricultural market

The Farmtrac FT25G all-electric tractor impressed Robert Llewellyn and Adam Henson on BBC’s Countryfile and the world’s number one clean energy and electric vehicle channel FullyCharged this summer.

In both programmes, the tractor was reviewed, put through its paces around the farm and in Countryfile was compared against its diesel equivalent in a Top Gear style “battle of the tractors”.

To give you a taster of how it went down with both Robert and Adam, Robert said at one point: “What it has proven today beyond a shadow of a doubt, it’s not just me saying it, it’s Adam – proper farmer too – he drives tractors all the time and he absolutely loves this thing. It’s so much quieter than a diesel machine… It’ll give you six to seven hours of hard work. So I’ve been using this thresher that uses a lot of energy and it’s fine, it keeps going. And it doesn’t half do it well, it mashes through it.”

If the idea of an electric tractor interests you, this coverage will tell you all you need to know.

Cashflow friendly payments to help manage budgets from Reesink Agriculture

Reesink Agriculture has worked with finance partner DLL to create two interest free finance deals for three of its Farmtrac tractor models.

Reesink Agriculture, UK distributor of Farmtrac tractors, appreciates finances are likely tighter than expected in these difficult times and is supporting customers in getting the tractor they need by launching two interest-free finance deals, both with manageable monthly repayments to help ease budgets.

Having reliable and economic tractors in the shed is vital, now more than ever, considering the unprecedented circumstances the agricultural community finds itself in. Hertfordshire Garden Machinery impressed with good retained margins for dealers

Hertfordshire Garden Machinery is the first Farmtrac dealer in the UK. Tim Wall, managing director, is pictured on one of the Farmtrac FT22 with SICMA attachment.

Hertfordshire Garden Machinery has become a Farmtrac dealer, the first in the UK for the tractor brand, and cites build quality and good retained margins for dealers behind the decision.

Farmtrac is the latest compact tractor brand to the UK market, it launched to great acclaim at LAMMA 2020 through UK distributor Reesink Agriculture, and it didn’t take long for word to spread about the potential of the brand in the UK marketplace.

Hertfordshire Garden Machinery’s managing director Tim Wall, who’s been in the business for 22 years, says: “The compact tractor market is very competitive and it’s an area we’ve been looking to expand into for some time.

“I heard of Farmtrac through a friend in the industry who suggested that it would be a good addition to our product portfolio and knew it was a market we were looking to break into. I visited distributor Reesink’s HQ in St Neots to view the tractors and was immediately impressed with the intuitive operation, build quality and appearance of the machines, and when I learnt the prices, I was shocked at the value for money they offered and with good retained margins for dealers.”

It didn’t take any of us long to realise the great potential Farmtrac will have in the UK marketplace and we’re delighted that dealers are seeing the potential too. It brings more choice to the market sector looking for a competent ‘no-frills’ tractor range with substance at a great price.

Steven Haynes, tractor sales manager, Reesink Agriculture

Hertfordshire Garden Machinery, which was formed in 2012 by Tim and his wife Lyndsey, has expanded year on year thanks to a strong sales strategy and business acquisition. A team of nine work at the premises in Bramfield, Hertfordshire in sales, service, spares and transport, with Tim saying: “We have a wealth of industry knowledge and a good reputation within the domestic and small commercial machinery sector locally and would like to apply our skills into a broader market. Having Farmtrac machines on offer at such competitive prices will enable us to grow our business, and I’m looking forward to forming a strong partnership with Reesink to mutually help launch the Farmtrac brand in the UK.”

Steven Haynes, tractor sales manager for distributor Reesink, says: “It didn’t take any of us long to realise the great potential Farmtrac will have in the UK marketplace and we’re delighted that dealers are seeing the potential too. It brings more choice to the market sector looking for a competent ‘no-frills’ tractor range with substance at a great price.”

Farmtrac’s cost-effective, intuitive operation, comprehensive and innovative nine-strong smart-looking 22-113hp tractor range, which includes the industry-first compact all-new all-electric model, offers a lot more than just a practical solution for most small, mid and heavy-duty tasks.

They come with the added benefit of up to a five-year robust warranty across the range, as Tim concludes by saying: “The final cherry on the cake, if one was needed, was the warranty on offer is excellent and will help sell the machines. It isn’t often that a great product at a fantastic price comes to the market, especially one already so competitive!”

FARMTRAC STRENGTHENS TRADE LINKS BETWEEN UK AND INDIA

Reesink Agriculture and Escorts Group bring innovative tractor brand to UK

David Cole, managing director of Reesink Agriculture, right, presents Yogesh Khattar, Escorts’ head of Europe, with a momento to commemorate the partnership at the brand’s UK launch at LAMMA 2020, with Roon Hylkema, the divisional director of Royal Reesink.

Farmtrac is the latest compact tractor brand to the UK market and its arrival has strengthened trade links between the UK and India thanks to the relationship between UK distributor Reesink Agriculture, a division of UK machinery and equipment distributor Reesink UK, and manufacturer Escorts Group.

Reesink Agriculture had been looking for an innovative tractor brand to bring more choice to the UK and in Escorts Group and Farmtrac, Reesink is confident it’s found a partner to do just that.

David Cole, managing director of Reesink, says: “In the last few years and up until the recent exceptional times – the Indian economy has been going through a dynamic period with many emerging centres of excellence, particularly in manufacturing, and that wider economic dynamism has been reflected in the ongoing success of Escorts Ltd. It’s a company with a thirst and focus on innovative and sustainable technologies to power farm equipment into the future – the production-ready all-new, all-electric FT25G electric tractor featuring a lithium-ion battery which headlined the launch in the UK is a clear example of that.”

We’re not only pleased to partner with a fast growing, focused manufacturer, but as part of a global group ourselves we are excited by the future opportunity ahead that our first distribution relationship with an Indian based partner will bring. Not least through the strong value proposition that underpins Escorts final product

David Cole, Reesink Agriculture

Representing the future of agriculture, Escorts Group is one of India’s, and the world’s, top tractor manufacturers. With a presence in 62 countries, Escorts was looking for a distribution partner for its leading brand Farmtrac to fulfil the customer need in the UK market and further expand its network distributing its award-winning, comprehensive tractor range.

Nidhi Nagpal, head of international marketing, Escorts Agri Machinery, says: “Escorts and Reesink Group already enjoy a successful relationship in South Africa where Reesink runs an agricultural equipment distribution business. Expanding this relationship further, we evaluated the potential of the Farmtrac range in the UK where Reesink runs a successful turfcare and agri equipment distribution business and agreed it’s a win/win cooperation for both companies and goes in line with our shared common vision to fullfil the needs of global farmers by offering complete agri solutions.”

The launch of the innovative electric model and the rest of the cutting-edge, cost-effective and innovative nine-strong smart-looking 22-113hp tractor range drew much interest at LAMMA, including that of the UK’s consul and public information officer for the Consulate General of India.

With David concluding: “We’re not only pleased to partner with a fast growing, focused manufacturer, but as part of a global group ourselves we are excited by the future opportunity ahead that our first distribution relationship with an Indian based partner will bring. Not least through the strong value proposition that underpins Escorts final product.”
